Zahntium Implant ZI 3308 – 3.3mm x 8mm

The Zahntium Implant 3308 is a precision-engineered narrow-platform dental implant designed specifically for clinical situations with limited mesiodistal space or reduced bone width. With a diameter of 3.3mm and a length of 8mm, this implant is ideally suited for replacing mandibular and maxillary incisors, as well as narrow alveolar ridges where standard-diameter implants cannot be placed without ridge augmentation.

Manufactured from medical-grade Grade 4 Titanium, the Zahntium 3308 implant features a tapered body design with self-tapping apical threads. This macro-geometry facilitates smooth insertion while providing exceptional primary stability, even in soft bone conditions such as the maxilla. The deep thread pitch maximizes bone-to-implant contact, distributing occlusal forces evenly and reducing stress concentration at the crestal bone level.

The implant utilizes a precise internal hex connection, which ensures a friction-fit transfer of torque to the abutment. This design minimizes micro-movement and micro-leakage at the implant-abutment interface, promoting long-term peri-implant tissue health. The anti-rotational feature of the internal hex is particularly beneficial for single-tooth restorations, preventing abutment screw loosening over time.

The Zahntium 3308 features an SLA (Sandblasted, Large-grit, Acid-etched) surface treatment, creating a micro-rough topography at the nanometer level. This surface texture promotes osteoblast adhesion, accelerates bone healing, and enhances the osseointegration process. Clinical studies have demonstrated that SLA surfaces achieve higher bone-to-implant contact ratios compared to machined surfaces, leading to improved implant survival rates.

The 8mm length makes the Zahntium 3308 an excellent choice for cases with limited vertical bone height, such as in the anterior mandible above the mental foramen or in the maxilla below the sinus floor. When immediate loading is indicated, the combination of tapered design and SLA surface provides the necessary stability for provisional restoration placement. Each implant is supplied sterile in a sealed vial, complete with a cover screw, ready for surgical placement.
