Unlike handheld models like the AP-H, the AP-A is a complete desktop system that integrates a main control unit, foot pedal, water bottle, and powder tanks for comprehensive in-office use .
This system uses compressed air to spray a precise mixture of prophylaxis powder and water onto tooth surfaces, effectively removing dental plaque, pigment, and soft debris while maintaining implants . The AP-A features a fully transparent funnel-shaped powder tank that allows real-time monitoring of powder levels and ensures stable powder output .
The handpiece is designed in three detachable sections, making it easy to clean and maintain while reducing powder clogging . The subgingival handpiece (AP-2) includes a 360° rotatable nozzle that can be pre-bent for optimal access to periodontal pockets, delivering three-direction powder output and one-direction water output for thorough biofilm elimination .
